Newport Harbor 6 – CdM 16

Corona del Mar hosted crosstown rival Newport Harbor, and kept its home secure with a 16-6 win. The teams matched up early, with a 2-2 tie fifteen minutes into the game, but the late stages of the first half witnessed a Sea King rally led by attacker Kacie Kline—who would go on to lead scoring with five goals. The halftime score was 9-2, and while the Sailors fought a hard second half, CdM answered at every stage. Rylie Siegfried and Brittany McCoy led scoring for NHHS with two goals apiece; for the home team, Payton Carter netted four.

Newport Harbor 5 – CdM 12

The Battle of the Bay on Friday was won by Corona del Mar JV Girls Lacrosse team by a score of 12-5. CDM proved a worthy opponent, utilizing crisp passing and excellent shot placement to win the game. The Sailor girls put up a good fight with Taylor Long leading the ladies in scoring with 2 goals. Carlye Lenk had a good all around game with one goal and 4 ground ball controls. Corrine Reuter and Sarah Farley each scored a goal to round out the scoring.
