March 29th Review

It’s been an exciting week at Davidson Field, with the Sailor Girls playing 3 games since they last visited Laguna Hills in the season opener. On Saturday March 20th, the lady laxers battled back from a early deficit and almost drew even with San Clemente in the final moments of the game. The final score was San Clemente 11-10 over our Sailor Girls, but the girls battled and never gave up.

On Thursday night March 25th, the Sailors took the field to get back in the win column, and defeated Santiago of Corona by a final score of 16-11. Rowdy Farmer had a career high 6 goals, and Senior Captain Joelle Rothbard ended up with 4 goals of her own, including her 100th career in a sailor uniform. Junior Captain “Gritzy” scored 5 times and the Sailors moved to 2-1 on the young season.

Finally, this past Saturday, the bright red shirts of Mater Dei paid a visit to Davidson. The Sailors battled hard but ultimately were outpaced by the high powered attack of the Monarchs by a score of 18-7.

This week is another big week of action at Davidson, with # 8 ranked in CIF SS Santa Margarita visiting on Tuesday night and then another Saturday coffee time tilt against Tesoro at 10:00am.

Go Sailors!!!!
